Custom Cabinets

Burlington Kitchen Renovations - Custom Cabinets 2

This is one of the services that we as the builders enjoy the most. To be honest especially when we get clients that are a little demanding. We know that may sound strange to a lot of people. When it comes to cabinets though the only real time that we get a chance to throw in a little more detail into the work that we do is when we have clients that are more involved in the whole process. Otherwise, we are kind of stuck building what are essentially large boxes. Since we have said we really want to encourage you to be active and firm on what you want out of your custom kitchen cabinets!

Wood, Vinyl, Aluminum

There are many different types of cabinets that we can make. There are a couple of things that we believe you have to take into consideration when ordering a specific cabinet set that you may want us to build. First of would be the main component. We are going to go over some of the benefits that certain types of cabinets bring so that you can make a more informed decision. Ultimately we want you to have a new cabinet set that you are fully happy with, in your home very shortly!

Wooden Kitchen Cabinets

Wooden cabinets are an all-time classic. You really can’t beat a classic, can you? Especially when you take into account that you can get a classic look for a very good price. The price of actual wood is actually lower than what you can find some of the newer wooden hybrids going for. There are a couple of things that we have to mention though which are not all going in wood’s favor. It is a bit durable. Overall you are going to have to provide more maintenance to it. Probably the worst part about wood is that you can get splinters from it.

Vinyl Cabinets

Vinyl is one of the better options in our opinion. It is not overly expensive, and it happens to be quite durable. There is a twist here though. You really need to make sure that you are able to trust the seller. We have been in homes where people were sold very cheap plastic as quality vinyl. After a couple of months, even the plastic doors begin to break and down goes your investment along with them! We have actually had to repair a lot of these cabinets. What we end up doing is redoing them completely because the material is so cheap we can’t really work with it!

Steel or Aluminum Cabinets

We realize that they are not one or the same. The look that you can get from them is quite similar so we decided to pair them together. Obviously, steel is a lot more durable. Properly made cabinets can be updated with a quick paint job from time to time and you are going to have them looking as good as new. These work great in industrial kitchens more than they do in homes!
